Hello, my name is Chris.

I have 10+ years of experience in operations at the global biopharmaceutical company AbbVie. My experience spans engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and risk management. I have expertise in company, industry, and market intelligence research and risk and crisis management principles.

I am an MBA candidate at University of Chicago Booth School of Business pursuing concentrations in Finance, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Economics.

I graduated with Distinction from Purdue University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and completing minors in Chemistry and Economics.

I am a passionately curious person. I am always interested in learning new things, exploring new places, developing skills, or investigating unfamiliar topics and industries. I am currently seeking career opportunities to pursue venture capital, corporate venture capital, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and impact investing.

In my spare time, you’ll find me photographing local wildlife, reading a good book, listening to earnings calls (for fun), or traveling to a new or fun destination with my wife, Erin.

Risk cannot be entirely eliminated; it must be proactively prepared for, effectively managed, or compensated for. Achieving optimal quality and resilience involves striking a precise balance between dismissing minor risks and overextending resources to mitigate every potential threat. It is crucial to rigorously assess and define a risk tolerance, and then craft a comprehensive management plan that aligns with that tolerance.

Risk Management Philosophy

Long-term growth is achieved by investing in companies and assets that not only align with core values but also exhibit robust fundamentals and a potential to drive positive global impact. A disciplined approach to diversification ensures a balance between risk and reward, focusing on quality and resilience while adapting to evolving market conditions. Success in investing requires a commitment to curiosity, patience, and lifelong learning, which together foster informed decisions and the creation of enduring, sustainable value.

Investment Philosophy

My journey into investing started on my sixth birthday with a meaningful gift from my grandmother—one share of Microsoft stock. She patiently explained what it meant to own a piece of a company, sparking my curiosity. Over time, we began investing in companies that caught our attention. Together, we would research, discuss, and analyze each company, turning each investment into a learning experience.

My grandmother's curiosity and her belief in investing time and energy into things that truly interest you became a guiding principle in my life. This early exposure fostered a lifelong interest in understanding new technologies, industries, and investment opportunities. Her influence continues to shape how I approach both my personal and professional endeavors, with a focus on curiosity, learning, and thoughtful investment.
